A MESSAGE FROM OUR CEO

CHRISTINE GREGOIRE
Challenge Seattle CEO
Former Washington State Governor
This is my home: it’s where I grew up, went to school and raised my family. It’s where I am watching my grandkids grow up. I want them to have the opportunity to pursue their dreams—and to have the education, training and support they need to do just that. I believe in the future of this region, and it is my duty to help ensure its success. Working with this group of visionary leaders is a unique civic opportunity, and together we will work to create a better future for our residents and our region.

WHY WE CALL SEATTLE HOME
ALASKA AIRLINES

Home field advantage. Alaska Airlines is known for a few things. Highest customer satisfaction, most on-time airline in North America, most fuel-efficient airline and having the friendliest employees in the business. But the thing we’re most proud of is being Seattle’s hometown airline. While our airplanes fly to over 115 exciting destinations—some as far away as Costa Rica and Kotzebue—its flying home that really makes us happy. We’ve been headquartered in Seattle for over 50 years and offer more flights and more destinations by far than any other airline. Keeping our hometown a vibrant and healthy community is something we take great pride in. That’s why we’re invested in programs in Seattle focused on youth and education, driving environmental innovations that make our communities greener and building a passionate and engaged workplace where our employees really love their jobs. Seattle, with its diversity, natural beauty and pioneering spirit is a great place to visit. But we like to think it’s an even better place to call home.
